| This is a precious antique Victorian print titled, "The Anxious Mother". The picture depicts a sweet little girl sitting on the bank of a stream with a large chicken/rooster and several sweet ducklings. The colors are bright and vibrant. The print is in excellent original condition. Bottom right hand corner reads, "Copyrighted by Shaw & Co., 1860". The wood frame is decorated with oak leaves and acorns. The 4 corners have carved leaves. One leaf has a small piece missing. (top right) see photo. Gold inner frame shows age appropriate wear. The frame has nice details and a good, old patina. The frame is original to the piece and has a nice, old wood back and wire hanger. Old, original wavy glass. |
