| This is an antique Victorian landscape oil painting on canvas. It is signed by the artist, "William H. Hilliard" and titled, "Andover Mill". This painting features a very interesting scene with a charming old mill beside a river. Lush landscape throughout with incredible dazzling water. Very nice details throughout. This is a very appealing antique Victorian river, landscape oil painting. It is signed by the artist and believed to be a painting of a location in Maine at the Andover Mill. This lovely antique painting is in excellent original condition. The fancy wood and gesso frame is original and very complimentary to the oil painting. This ornate frame retains a wonderful original gold gilt finish. The frame is in excellent original condition. It is only missing one little gesso bead in the top right corner of the frames beaded design. The backing of this piece is signed and titled by the artist. Old original hanger. Circa 1890’s. |
