| This is an outstanding, charming pair of antique Victorian German prints that are full of character and emotion. The children's faces are truly captivating. The period clothing and the children's stance and expressions are heart-warming. These prints are both in excellent original condition, except the picture of the little boy has a tiny piece of the print on the boys hat, sticking to the glass. Both prints have very faint water stains. They retain their original antique wavy glass and molded wood frames in original, old creamy white finish. They both have original brass plaques with German titles. The title of the girl and boy print reads, "Ein Geheimnis". Translates to, "A Secret". The title of the boy with apron print reads, "Ich bin der Meister". Translates to, "I am the Master". The backing is a very old oil cloth. The hangers are original. These are wonderful and enchanting antique Victorian prints. Circa 1900. |
